Certainly a departure from usual models that show the Sun as a static object, which it certainly isn’t

I have been waiting for this picture to come back around for so long to show it to someone.

this model is actually really scary to me.  very disorienting.  i just don’t like the idea that we’re not only moving in circles, but far from where we once were… makes the idea of travel to other galaxies or solar systems that much more unlikely.  really bums out my inner science nerd.
